Public body
Public body
Public body means any legal entity established as such by national public law, and international organisations. "Established" signifies that the legal entity either has to be incorporated as a public body in the formal act or, governed by public law (usually both). Criteria such as the direct supervision of a legal entity by the State, the public financing or the public service mission are no longer sufficient to define an entity as a public body.
