Pensoft Publishers is an SME specializing in professional book and journal publishing, software development, webdesign, PR and dissemination of science news. Since its foundation in 1994, Pensoft has published more than 800 books and e-books. Pensoft has been publishing and/or carrying out dissemination and communication for several EU projects, e.g., BIOFORUM, MACMAN, ALARM, MACIS, COCONUT, EURO-LIMPAKS, RUBICODE, and MOTIVE. Currently Pensoft is a WP Leader in the FP7 projects SCALES, STEP, BESAFE, ViBRANT, pro-iBiosphere, EUBON and IMPRESSIONS.. Within FP projects, the company has specialized in dissemination, communication and publishing, software development, as well as in designing and maintaining websites and Communication Platforms (ICP), online tools and project branding (logos, flyers, leaflets, policy briefs, posters, etc.).The company publishes also several technologically advanced peer-reviewed оpen аccess academic journals, such as Nature Conservation, BioRisk, NeoBiota, ZooKeys, Biodiversity Data Journal.
